“ What I like most is its purity, without too many seasonings, only the essence of the ingredients themselves. Every bite feels the warmth and security of home. It is suitable for a bowl at any time, which is both delicious and comforting. ”
“ Friendly service, solid gookbop, opens early for those of you dying of hangover, been there twice so far on the verge of death, walked out rejuvenated both times. Absolutely coming back in the future 10/10 would recommend. ”
“ I love this place. Been going here since before Covid. Their garlic sprout panchan thing is prob the best I've ever had. This is my go to Korean soup and dol sot bibambap spot. The staff here are hella funny, my friends and I are huge fans of Soni. She's here every now and then. She'll entertain your soju shots if you're pouring lol. Oh, for the ultra congested parking lot, just park next door at the bank and E sharp hair joint. ”
“ Service is very friendly and quick. We ordered two Chadol Gontang and they were out within minutes. Their side dish kimchis are amazing!!! We came on a Thursday dinner and there were some groups of drunk men being obnoxiously loud but I guess the restaurant can't do much about that. The portions were large too! ”
“ You definitely know a place is authentic when there's a slight language language barrier with the server haha. But I found this place off of Instagram Reels, it's one of the rare places that open really late into the night! The food is really good and authentic, and the value is definitely there for the taste. I think the portions are fair. The ambiance is a bit crowded, since they are trying to maximize the number of tables they can fit, but still enough so that the server can push around a cart. The banchan is good too, a lot more options than somewhere like Daeho. The meat is what stands out here, the dishes are really great and there is a high variety! Ordering is pretty easy since you just say the number you want and she will understand, and when you're done you pay up front. I think this is elite hangover/drunk food as well, and so its late open hours will really benefit. Will be back! ”
“ Came here on a late Wednesday night as a party of four - it was pretty packed when we arrived but was able to be seated right away. Menu was straightforward, had photos so it was easier for us - We ended up ordering numbers 5, 18, and 25. Portions were actually a lot, my favorite was definitely (18) the spicy cold noodles. It was definitely a great experience, service was on the slower side but completely understandable since it was busy but would love to come back and try their other dishes! ”
“ This was such a lovely experience. The woman who took our order and brought it over was like a mom/auntie. She cut our noodles, added the sauce to our food and put it some in a small bowl for me to eat. My friend was like use this mustard for your soup and she was like ah ah no for my friend only (she got a different dish) and was like vinegar only for you. Did I understand a single thing she said, no. But did I UNDERSTAND what she said? Yes. Our group was pretty loud and they were still very understanding and kind to us. Although, my friend who goes there once in a while said that was the nicest she's ever seen her/them before and normally it's very curt she still goes back because the food is absolutely heavenly. The food portion are so large and worth the price. The food itself was absolutely amazing. The chicken wings were the most mid, despite being crunchy and perfectly cooked because everything else was so gosh darn amazing. I've never had cold noodles before, but the noodles were perfectly chewy and every bite was a bit of heaven. Would absolutely come back and recommend. ”
“ I have been wanting to try gom tang forever, and we finally made the trip to santa clara to try it. There are a few different gom tang places in the bay but we were in Santa Clara already. I ordered the sukeo gomtang ( gomtang with intestines ) , and we also got the spicy chicken. The banchan here is great, kimchi, green onion, and radish are all super tasty and fresh. They give you scissors to cut the banchan with. The gom tang came out faster than the spicy chicken. The chicken was sizzling and hot. I really enjoyed my gom tang !!! There was so much flavor and essence in the soup. You can tell the soup is simmered for a long time because it gelatinized pretty quickly when we took it home. The ladies who work here don't seem to speak much English, but more than enough to understand and take our order. They were friendly and welcoming and also helped me to pack my soup to go. ”
